The New York State Horse Council (NYSHC) offers two separate $1,000.00 awards each year. One is a Youth Scholarship for members who are 16–24 years old during the application year. The other is an Adult Educational Grant for members aged 25 and older. Both awards support NYSHC members who are enrolled in a college-level equine program or pursuing a professional certification (examples: Parelli, John Lyons, farrier certification, etc.).
