Overview
Granite Edvance’s 2026 Summer Term Scholarship program will distribute up to $30,000 in total awards. Individual scholarships will be awarded in amounts up to $1,000 or $1,500 depending on the type of program in which the recipient is enrolled. You may submit applications to more than one scholarship category, but each entry requires its own, separate application form.

Who is eligible
Open to legal residents of New Hampshire as of the end of the Scholarship Period, applicants must meet all of the following at the time of application:

- Be enrolled (or planning to enroll) as a student at a 2-year college or trade school for the Summer 2026 term of the 2025–2026 academic year (a “College Student”). The institution must be Title IV eligible and appear on the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal School Code List for 2025–26 or 2026–27, depending on the school’s term calendar.
- Demonstrate New Hampshire residency to the satisfaction of Granite Edvance Corporation.
- Have a cumulative GPA (or equivalent) of at least 2.0.
- Show financial need via the Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FAFSA. Only applicants with an SAI less than $40,000 are eligible for an award. Applicants must be able to submit a FAFSA and provide their SAI for consideration.
- Provide a copy of their financial aid offer (award letter) in order to receive an award.

Additional eligibility notes
- If an applicant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Terms and Conditions on the student’s behalf before the scholarship can be awarded.
- A recipient may receive only one scholarship per Academic Year. Granite Edvance defines an Academic Year as beginning with the Fall term and including the immediately following Spring and Summer terms. Students who have received awards in prior Academic Years may apply again.
- Granite Edvance employees and members of their immediate families are not eligible to apply.

Application rules and award limits
- You may apply to multiple scholarship categories, but you must submit a separate application for each category you enter. Only one submission is allowed per category.
- Total funds available for the 2026 Summer Term Scholarship program will not exceed $30,000. Individual awards will be up to $1,000 or $1,500, based on the recipient’s program type.

Scholarship categories and what to address
Leadership & Community Service
- Describe how your leadership roles or community service efforts have led to positive change, what you have learned from those experiences, the impact you have made, and how you plan to continue contributing in college and beyond.

First-Generation Student
- For this scholarship, a first-generation student is defined as one whose parents did not complete a bachelor’s degree. Explain how being a first-generation student has shaped your aspirations, the obstacles you have overcome, and how you intend to leverage your college experience to create opportunities for yourself and others.

Academic Excellence
- This award recognizes strong academic performance along with intellectual curiosity and perseverance. Discuss how your academic record has prepared you for higher education and your future goals. Note: GPA is weighted more heavily in evaluation for this category; applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 to qualify.

Life Experience
- Share the life events, challenges, or circumstances that have most influenced your personal growth. Explain what these experiences taught you, how they prepared you for college, and how they will inform your path forward.
