Women's Southern Golf Association Scholarship

Scholarship Sponsored by Women's Southern Golf Association

Value: $18,000.00
Awards Available: 1
Deadline : May 01, 2026

Overview
The Women’s Southern Golf Association (WSGA) sponsors a scholarship fund to help qualified young women who live in the 15 southern states or the District of Columbia pursue up to four years of undergraduate study. The award favors students who play golf or have an interest in the game.

Scholarship amount and renewal
- For the current year, the scholarship will be $4,500, with a commitment of $4,500 for each of the next three undergraduate years (maximum of four years total).
- Continued funding each year is contingent on an annual review of the recipient’s academic performance, ongoing interest in golf, and financial need.
- Recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- This is an academic scholarship (not an athletic scholarship) intended for graduating high school seniors interested in golf. Presently, awards are made to four young women each year (one new recipient added annually as one graduates).

Administration and payment
- The WSGA Scholarship Committee manages the program and will make selections based on the information submitted.
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the accredited college the student attends. Payment is made in two installments: one-half at the start of the first semester and the remainder after the committee receives confirmation that the student has met the minimum GPA requirement and has been accepted/registered for the next semester.
