AFOSC Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Air and Space Forces Spouses’ Club
Purpose
The Air and Space Forces Spouses’ Club (ASFSC) Scholarship Awards Program exists to recognize and support exceptional academic and personal accomplishments of eligible dependents of United States Air Force and United States Space Force members by providing merit-based scholarships for study at accredited institutions of higher learning.
Overview and Key Points
- The ASFSC (formerly the Air Force Officers’ Spouses’ Club – AFOSC) awards merit scholarships to eligible high school students who plan to begin undergraduate study in the 2026–2027 academic year.
- Scholarships are administered according to the ASFSC Scholarship Committee Policies and Procedures.
- Awards are made without consideration of a sponsor’s rank or an applicant’s race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or disability.
- Applicants are responsible for collecting and submitting all required documents and information.
Selection Criteria
Applications may be evaluated using some or all of the following factors:
- Academic record and cumulative GPA
- Standardized test scores (if provided)
- Extracurricular involvement (school or community athletics, clubs, volunteer service, etc.)
- Work experience and employment history
- Leadership positions, honors and awards
- Citizenship and community engagement
- Character references and the applicant’s personal essay
Judging
- Independent community judges with strong academic credentials review application packets.
- Judges and their dependents are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Judges may not be members of ASFSC.
Important Dates and Notifications
- Application deadline: March 7, 2026. All materials must be submitted by this date for full consideration.
- After submitting, you will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.
- Applicants will be informed of award decisions by email in April 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
Each applicant must meet all of the following:
1. Be a graduating high school senior or a graduate of a certified home-school program in the current school year and intend to enroll in an accredited college or university for the 2026–2027 academic year.
2. Be a legal military dependent of a United States Air Force or United States Space Force member who is active duty, reserve, guard, retired, POW/MIA, or deceased (officer or enlisted).
3. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Home-schooled applicants must provide documentation and credentials that satisfy the application requirements.
5. Applicants may not be members of, or dependent upon members of, the ASFSC Scholarship Committee.
6. The applicant’s eligible sponsor must currently live and/or be stationed in one of the following DMV counties or the District of Columbia: Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, King George, Fauquier, Charles, Prince George, Montgomery, Howard, Anne Arundel, St. Mary’s, Calvert, or the District of Columbia.

Application Instructions
1. Carefully review the application requirements before beginning the online form.
2. Complete and submit the online application and all supporting documents via the 2026 High School Scholarship Application link by March 7, 2026.
3. Provide complete information across all relevant categories (Education, Employment, Community/Volunteer Service, Community/Club Activities, College Activities, Awards/Honors). Scholarship decisions are point-based and consider the total application.
4. Expect a confirmation email within 24 hours after successful submission.
