The Elks National Foundation exists to support Elks in strengthening their communities. We carry out that commitment by directing resources into the towns and neighborhoods where Elks live and serve.
Since 1931 the Foundation has helped students pursue their educational goals. Each year we distribute more than $4.6 million in college scholarships, assisting at least 800 high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement and a commitment to service.
2026 Iowa Elks Vocational Grants
Overview
The Iowa State Elks Association will award twenty (20) Vocational Grants of $1,500 each to individuals enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited vocational or technical program of two years or less. These grants are intended for vocational training (not for pursuit of a four-year bachelor’s degree) and are available to both current high school seniors and non-traditional students.

Who is eligible
- Any male or female prospective student who legally resides within the jurisdiction of a B.P.O. Elks Lodge affiliated with the Iowa State Elks Association (see iowaelks.org) may apply.
- Applicants must plan to pursue an educational program beyond high school or preparatory school level that meets the two-years-or-less vocational/technical criterion.
- All applicants must be citizens of the United States at the time the application is submitted.
How to apply and filing requirement
- Submit the application to the Lodge Scholarship Chairman, the Exalted Ruler, or the Secretary of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge that has jurisdiction over the student’s legal residence.
- Only one application may be submitted by an applicant, and it must be filed with that Lodge of jurisdiction.
- No applicant may receive more than one (1) Iowa State Elks Association grant in a single year.
