Introduction The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF), in partnership with the American Academy of Chefs (AAC), awards a limited number of scholarships each year to students pursuing culinary-related training. Available Awards - Apprenticeship programs: up to $1,500 - Certificate programs: up to $1,500 - Postsecondary degree programs: up to $2,500 Deadlines Scholarship applications are accepted twice yearly, with deadlines on April 30 and October 31. Who is eligible - Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and demonstrate strong academic standing. - Be accepted to an accredited institution in a culinary, pastry, or foodservice-related major. How applications are evaluated - Applications are scored using a point system and reviewed by the scholarship selection committee. - Points are awarded for factors that include academic GPA, participation in culinary competitions, culinary-related volunteer activities, and involvement with the American Culinary Federation (ACF). - Applicants will be informed of award decisions via email within 30 business days after each application deadline. - Candidates who do not receive an award are encouraged to apply again in future years if they continue to need funding. - The ACF reserves the right to revoke any scholarship at any time if a recipient fails to maintain academic progress standards or is found to have submitted false information.
